Planspitze, Peternschartenköpfe (Höllersteig)
General Information
The route describes the access to the climbing route! An alpine climbing route, which can be looked up in detail in the climbing guide "Xeis Auslese" by Andreas Hollinger and Jürgen Reinmüller!
From the Gesaeuse federal road (B146) between Admont and Gstatterboden, only a few hundred metres from the Enns bridge near Gstatterboden, the "Höllersteig" branches off at the car park (GPS 1) with information boards of the Gesaeuse National Park. Follow the spur path, which rises moderately at the beginning, until it meets a little used forest road (GPS 2). Continue straight on along a somewhat overgrown path with a small climb. Following this path, soon leaving the path to the right (GPS 3, old wooden sign "Pichlweg"), you reach a gravel stream bed after a while, which you cross to the right (GPS 4). The now clearly visible path, partly marked with red dots, leads very steeply uphill through a larch forest until you are at a height of 1525m directly below a huge, triangular structure of the north face. For the direct entry of the Pichlweg (Glatterriss) and the route "Großraminger Kirtag" a short stretch to the left ascending to the entry left of the prominent northwest pillar. Walking time 2 to 2½ hours.
To the routes of Planspitze Nordwestwand and Peternschartenkopf at point 1525m, cross over Steiglein to the right and over a few ridges. A short piece of steel cable leads over a steep step. Continue in easy climbing (1-2) straight up to a prominent snack cave. 2 to 2½ hours.
