GESÄUSE - Landschaft im Wandel
General Information
The landscape history in and around the Gesäuse National Park on 220 pages and 400 pictures:
From the first settlements in the Ennstal Alps to the founding of the National Park in 2002. The developments in our natural and cultural landscape are historically reappraised and vividly illustrated by numerous illustrations and maps, some of which have never been published before. The content of the book includes the settlement of the region, the emergence and development of agriculture and forestry, the changes in the river landscape Enns, as well as the development by paths, roads and railroads. A separate chapter is devoted to the changes in the landscape caused by natural processes such as erosion, floods and avalanches.
Landscape shapes us and is shaped by us.
