RETTER BioGut

The Retter BioGut is the cradle of the Hirschbirn and is surrounded by organic orchards belonging to the family Retter. In the energy-optimised building with distillery, bakery, herb and ice cream workshops organic fruits get turned into fruit spreads, ice cream, syrup, teas and distillates. In the bakery fresh, organic bread from vintage recipes is baked for our Retter hotel guests.

Our organic products and other regional, organic specialities can be sampled, bought and enjoyed in the RETTEREI with adjacent bar. From the Nature Park terrace you can enjoy a wonderful view over the East Styrian hills. Visitors and hotel guests have the opportunity to partake in regularly occurring guided tours Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays at the BioGut with dégustation as well as regularly occurring courses about a sustainable way of living.

Outside our regular opening hours we offer guided tours per request for a minimum of 10 people.
