Styrian Summer Art: Simple and expressive storytelling - Acrylic painting
General Information
We want to tell a story in a picturesque way, with plenty of room for interpretation, so that viewers can find their own meanings.
We start with the atmosphere: Where should the story begin? Who or what is it about? Are we embarking on this journey together, do we already have a destination in mind?
Photos and newspaper clippings will serve as our starting point, and we are also happy to incorporate personal contributions or materials from the artist's collection. These will be spontaneously processed with acrylic paints into generous, expressive compositions to suggest a story. A willingness to take risks in abstraction is required, and it is about discovering and allowing one's own visual language to flow, instead of creating a photorealistic depiction.
"As the course leader, I will guide you by providing general advice on composition, color choice, and technique."
Here are photos from the Atelier Class 2025!
