General Information
Let yourself be enchanted by a tour of the over 800-year-old castle and admire the many splendid and beautiful individual chapels in the Festenburg.
Tour days: Wednesday and Thursday; each at 10:00 AM
Sundays and public holidays: at 2:00 PM.
With prior notice, tours are also possible at other times. Prior notice is necessary for bus trips.

What is there to see?
- 6 chapels and the parish church (former knight's hall) with a fresco cycle by the Vorau abbey painter Johann Cyriak Hackhofer
- Armory with a knight's armor
- the most important tree species in the area
- former parish rooms: living culture around 1900 (parish office during Dr. Ottokar Kernstock's time)
- Exhibition boards about the owners of the castle and castles along the Lafnitz
- the Festenburg mountain cemetery is also very worth seeing, with its wrought iron crosses. The motto for the cemetery is: "The poorest must have the chance to have a grave as beautiful as a rich person's."
