Gleisdorf

The solar tree is the landmark of the solar city of Gleisdorf.

Since the 1990s, Gleisdorf has seen itself as a pioneering city for renewable energies. The solar tree is 17 meters high and weighs 13 tons. The maximum power output is 7000 watts. The tree thereby generates enough electricity to supply all 70 street lights in downtown Gleisdorf with electricity.
