HWW-station Vorauer Schwaig 1, 2 & 3 (triple station)

On the Historic Long Distance Trail Wechselland, the history of the Wechselland region is made accessible on contemporary and innovatively designed display boards at more than 100 HWW stations.

At this triple station (Vorauer Schwaig 1, 2 & 3) a total of three themes are explained:
- Vorauer Schwaig 1: The Vorauer Schwaig is one of many alpine farming centres on the Hochwechsel. The history of alpine farming in Wechselland is explained here.
- Vorauer Schwaig 2: Numerous cemeteries in the Wechselland testify to the fierce fighting that took place in April and May 1945. Details of these battles can be found at this station, as there is a soldiers' cemetery in the immediate vicinity.
- Vorauer Schwaig 3: The change had several names in the course of history, which are explained at this station.
