Reflective Christmas spirit comes to Weiz in many ways.
Every Advent Saturday, the Christkindlmarkt takes place in Weiz.
Traditionally, visitors are treated to a varied supporting program on the Advent weekends in Weiz. During the Advent weekends, the Christkindlmarkt takes place in the beautiful glow of the Christmas lights in the area of South Tyrol Square. In a festive ambiance, a diverse range of handicrafts, high-quality goods, and delightful treats are offered. The Weiz clubs and charitable organizations also host their members, friends, and visitors in the club hut village and throughout the entire market area.
The nativity scene with life-sized wooden figures in the main square is particularly popular, beautifully placed in front of the Marian column and the large Advent wreath. There is also a lovely wooden nativity scene to admire in the Garden of Generations. Life-sized snowmen are scattered throughout the city, watching the pre-Christmas activities in the streets.
