Vienna Glacis Ensemble

For the second time, the Vienna Glacis Ensemble is performing in Weiz.
Flexibility in casting as well as the skillful selection of forgotten, newly edited works of chamber music are the trademarks of the ensemble, which includes members of the Vienna Philharmonic, the Lower Austrian Tonkünstler, and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.
On the occasion of the anniversary year 2026 – 100 years of Hannes Schwarz – his grandniece, the flutist and founder of the ensemble, Doris Haimel, will guide the evening with anecdotes about Hannes Schwarz and the lives of musicians and artists in general. Some of the chamber music favorites of the late anniversary celebrant, who passed away in 2014, will also be on the program.
Look forward to a colorful, musical bouquet for Hannes Schwarz and a tribute that connects the past and the present.
