The monks of Shaolin Kung Fu
The mysterious Zen monastery Shaolin in the heart of China has been the spiritual center of Zen Buddhism and the training ground for monks to master Kung Fu for over 1,500 years. For millions of devout Buddhists, it is a sacred place; for martial arts enthusiasts, it is the center of energy.
"Shami's Path to Shaolin" tells the story of a child on his quest for mastery. The show showcases the fascinating and mysterious exercises of the monks, their masterful control of Hard Qi Gong, shattering sticks and iron bars on their bodies, and demonstrating that even the most sensitive areas of the body can withstand the tips of spears. It features fascinating video interludes filmed at the original location, depicting the modest monk life and the rigorous training. The show narrates the admission of the young student (Shami) into the temple, the challenges he must face, and the deep relationship between student and master.
The monks teach the audience simple breathing exercises and take them on an emotional journey that proves that anyone has the opportunity to master the body with the mind.
