On full moon through the mysterious animal world!
Once a month, a creepy chill comes over the zoo when our wolf packs, the Hudson Bay wolves, the polar wolves, and the timber wolves howl at the moon! Hike through the zoo in the moonlight, accompanied by our zoo educators. In doing so, you sharpen your senses, listen to the voices of the night, and immerse yourself in a mystical animal world.
In addition to the wolf families, the main actors in this guided tour through the wildlife are particularly our crepuscular and nocturnal animals, which often remain hidden during the day.
Our armadillos prefer nocturnal activities in the house of the woolly monkeys, where they live together with the monkeys named after the famous composer Franz Liszt in a communal living arrangement. During the day, they literally hide "curled up" in a corner.
Another prime example of nocturnal residents is our porcupines. During the day, they burrow and rarely show themselves, but as soon as it gets dark, they emerge from their dens and scurry around the enclosure. Numerous other animals from the continents of Africa, America, Australia, and Eurasia present themselves with special preferences and habits.
