Since 1986, the traditional Donut Festival has been held annually in Mönichwald.

There are 10,000 donuts and small donuts to taste.

Doughnuts as far as the eye can see

Over 50 homemade varieties and delicious specialties and rarities from the Joglland invite you to enjoy and savor.

Culinary arts hold great importance in the Joglland - Waldheimat region, where people place high value on quality and local products.

Everything revolves around the doughnut. At the big doughnut festival, tasting and enjoyment take center stage. In the Mönichwalder doughnut folder, around 180 different doughnut recipes have been collected - from A like 'Augengläserkrapfen' - this recipe dates back to 1837! - to Z like 'Zitronenkrapfen'.

Living Traditions, a tradition for many decades.
Everyone in the village who is willing and able must bake 100 pieces of a specific type, and thus over 50 different varieties - from savory to sweet - are available for tasting year after year.

Start is from 10 AM with doughnut sales and morning coffee.
