The celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Easter Vigil, does not take place in the evening hours of Holy Saturday, but in the early hours of Easter Sunday. After the Easter wake-up call by the Anger Music Society on the "Bergerl" above Anger's main square, which was first heard in 1902, the firecrackers and the church tower rattle, the liturgy of the Easter Vigil begins at 5 am. Following the resurrection service, the music plays the "Easter song" and accompanies the consecrated Easter light in a procession to the cemetery.
