Welcome to the sunny side of Hochwechsel at an altitude of 1000m.
Enjoy the panoramic solo location with distant views and several hundred hectares of green surrounding the hotel. We spoil you with regional cuisine, freshly prepared daily, and with our garden spa. The covered outdoor pool provides pleasant swimming enjoyment from April to October. In the sauna, steam bath, or Physiotherm cabin, your muscles will be relaxed after an exhausting mountain tour.
Experience a sporty-active or a calm-relaxing holiday in the idyllic mountain world of Hochwechsel – with many marked hiking trails in summer. In winter, the small ski area with its own tow lift, its own ski school, family-friendly slopes, a well-trained team of ski and snowboard instructors, and a dedicated sports shop is right at the hotel door.

Andreas und Ilse Schwengerer
Andreas Schwengerer has been working in the business since 1985, with a few stops in Germany and abroad! Since the beginning of
2000, he has been the boss at Hotel Schwengerer. You will mostly find Andreas at the reception and in service. Of course, he also acts as the caretaker and gardener. His hobbies are skiing, hiking, wellness, but also woodworking and gardening.
Ilse Schwengerer, the good fairy of the house, originally does not come from the hospitality industry. She met Andreas and immediately knew that she wanted to be with him both privately and professionally. She is responsible for the decoration in the house and serves the guests in the restaurant. In her free time, she loves skiing, swimming, nature, and also looking for mushrooms.
