From our Glatzl Trahütten Alm at almost 1300m above sea level, guests are treated to a wonderful panorama: from the Hochwechsel over the Murtal Alps to the Hochlantsch, to the Teichalm, to the Schöckl and further over the Koralm to the Slovenian mountains and back again over the Masenberg and the whole Joglland!
The cattle spend their annual summer retreat on this 6 hectare property surrounded by forest.

Coming from Vienna by car:
Via the A2, exit Pinggau Friedberg, continue on the B54 towards Graz to the exit St. Lorenzen am Wechsel
ATTENTION GPS trap –> Be sure to arrive via the Pinggau-Friedberg exit! Only then enter Glatzl Trahütten Alm - otherwise you will be misdirected via the Glashütte hiking trail... ;-(
Coming from Graz by car:
Via the A2, Hartberg exit, continue on the B54 towards Vienna to the St. Lorenzen am Wechsel exit
Continue to Glatzl Trahütten Alm:
About 3 km before the town of St. Lorenzen take the Auerbach turnoff, a forest road leads to the hut.

Glatzl Trahütten Alm
The Glatzl Trahütten Alm, which we built in 2011, offers a wonderful panorama from the Hochwechsel over the Murtal Alps to the Hochlantsch, the Teichalm and the Schöckl and further over the Koralm to the Slovenian mountains and back again over the Masenberg and the entire Joglland !

Relax and vacation on the mountain pasture
The Glatzl Trahütten Alm is located at almost 1300 m above sea level on the sunny side of the Wechsel area and can be hiked from St. Lorenzen am Wechsel in the direction of Vorauer Schwaig / Hochwechsel in around 1.5 hours. Thanks to its central location, it is also easily accessible for all hikers from the Hochwechsel (walking time 2.5 hours), as well as from the Vorauer Schwaig (one hour), the Kaltwiesen (3 hours) and the Hilmtor.
