These two mountain peaks are easy to climb and are also known as the most popular ski tour destinations. In good weather they are known for their magnificent panoramic views, but in late autumn they attract mountain hikers with their fiery red blueberry leaves.

From the Gscheidegger farmstead along the forest road into the valley to the Grössingalm (1319 m). Continue into the channel-shaped steep hollow "Sautrog" and up to the Leobnertörl (1730 m). On the south side, descend a little into the cirque and keep left up to the ridge ridge and over this to the summit. Continue east along the ridge path to Sonntagskogel and Blaseneck. The descent is first to the west and then through the beautiful Sebringgraben on the Luchstrail!

A9 Phyrnautobahn to exit Ardning/Admont and from there past Frauenberg, approx. 10 km to Admont. Via the B146 (Gesäuse Bundesstraße) from the west into the Gesäuse.

Or via Leoben, Vordernberg and Eisenerz to Hieflau and from there via B146 in a westerly direction into the Gesäuse.

A1 Westautobahn to exit Ybbs and from there south through Scheibbs, Lunz am See, Göstling an der Ybbs and Palfau to Hieflau. From there, take the B146 in a westerly direction to the Gesäuse.

Turn off at the Gesäusebundesstrasse at the Weidendom in the direction of Johnsbach and continue to Johnsbach to the end of the road.

From the car park, follow the moderately ascending forest road for a long time to the Grössingeralm. Cross the alp straight on until the AV trail no. 674 on the left leads up in many narrow bends through the "Saugraben" to the Leobner Törl (1739m). From there, keeping to the right, below the Leobner Wall, follow trail no. 673 to the head of the valley and continue over the left, moderately steep flank to the summit. From the Leobner summit, hike along the "Eisenerzer Alpen Kammweg" in a westerly direction, steeply downhill to the Haberltörl and in turn uphill to the Sonnleitenkogel. Then it is an easy uphill and downhill over to the last steeper ascent to the Blaseneck. From the summit cross, the trail descends steeply in a westerly direction and, before the ascent to the Anhartskogel, turns right downhill, partly on forest roads, to the Wölgeralm and into the Sebringgraben. Follow the signs down into the valley. In Johnsbach, either continue straight on to the Ödsteinblick inn or, as we did, keep to the right along the Kneipweg to the Kölblwirt inn!

It is also possible to continue hiking to the Mödlingerhütte via the Johnsbacher Höhenweg on the Luchstrail!

To do this, do not descend into the Sebringgraben but continue westwards via the Anhartskogel and the Spielkogel.

From Hieflau or Admont take bus line 912 to the Gesäuse Kummerbrücke stop.

At the Gscheiddegger farmstead, drive to the end of the road in the direction of the Zeiringeralm. Park at the large National Park information boards!
