A leisurely stroll through Rottenmann, past historical cultural monuments.
Many cultural monuments bear witness to the eventful past of the town of Rottenmann. The remains of the medieval town wall, St. Nicholas' Church with the carved prayer chair of Emperor Maximilian I from 1514, the hospital church, the church in St. Georgen, monuments and houses offer interesting insights into the history of one of Austria's oldest towns. Culture lovers will definitely get their money's worth.
The signposted tour starts at the main square in the centre of Rottenmann. In the Middle Ages, markets were held not only here, but also in the backyards of the town houses.
