From the GH Stiegenwirt car park or the Palfau post office, follow the municipal road north for approx. 300 metres. Turn right onto the marked trail 284(63) to the saddle near the Mühlbauerkogel and continue on the marked forest road to the fork at the Moar-(nieder)alm. Continue west on forest road 65, which runs along the 1,000-metre contour line. Due to the steepness of the terrain, this forest road has been designed as a panoramic trail with magnificent viewpoints and connects the Moar-(nieder)alm with the TVN Palfau nature lovers' hut.
Continue across alpine pastures and meadows back to Palfau until you reach a farmstead. Pass the sports field and tennis court to return to the starting point.
