Travelling to Wildalpen by car:

From Vienna: A1 Westautobahn exit Ybbs via Wieselburg, Scheibbs and Lunz/See to Göstling an der Ybbs continue in the direction of Palfau, at the Erzhalden junction turn off to Wildalpen.

From Vienna, Eisenstadt: Semmeringschnellstraße S6, near Mürzzuschlag onto the B23 Mariazeller Bundesstrasse and Mürzsteg and Wegscheid to Gusswerk and on the Hochschwab Bundesstrasse B24 to Wildalpen.

From Linz: A1 to Voralpenkreuz junction, A9 to Windischgarsten, Unterlaussa, Altenmarkt, Grossreifling, Palfau and Wildalpen

From Salzburg: A1 on A9 to exit Ardning/Admont, Gesäusebundesstrasse and B24 to Wildalpen

From Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn, exit, Traboch (near Leoben) via Präbichl/Eisenerz, Hieflau, Landl, Gams to Palfau at the Erzhalden junction turn off to Wildalpen.

At the bus stop Kollerbrücke, an inconspicuous little path goes very steeply up the mountain.

The path is not very long, but it is steep and difficult to walk. After about 20 minutes, the path branches off to the right (the way back is on the left), after a few careful steps along the grade, we will be standing in front of the chamois!

Please do not climb the structure.

On the way down, we turn right at the fork and follow the path until we reach a meadow, then we turn left into the forest again and follow the path downhill until we cross the Säusenbach stream and reach the road. After a few minutes we are back at the main road and the collier bridge at the Salzatalhof.

Caution: Short but steep and adventurous ascent
The small "Skywalk" is not to be entered for safety reasons!
