This hike impresses with its variety of experiences. Which is changeable at any time and is well suited for families with children. Starting from the Hotel Bergkristall, we first walk along a beautiful path that winds its way above the Salza. Through the Lärchgraben around the Löwekogel through the Jägertal and on the Löwekogel with a fantastic view of Wildalpen

Travelling to Wildalpen by car:

From Vienna: A1 Westautobahn exit Ybbs via Wieselburg, Scheibbs and Lunz/See to Göstling an der Ybbs continue in the direction of Palfau, at the Erzhalden junction turn off to Wildalpen.

From Vienna, Eisenstadt: Semmeringschnellstraße S6, near Mürzzuschlag onto the B23 Mariazeller Bundesstrasse and Mürzsteg and Wegscheid to Gusswerk and on the Hochschwab Bundesstrasse B24 to Wildalpen.

From Linz: A1 to Voralpenkreuz junction, A9 to Windischgarsten, Unterlaussa, Altenmarkt, Grossreifling, Palfau and Wildalpen

From Salzburg: A1 on A9 to exit Ardning/Admont, Gesäusebundesstrasse and B24 to Wildalpen

From Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn, exit, Traboch (near Leoben) via Präbichl/Eisenerz, Hieflau, Landl, Gams to Palfau at the Erzhalden junction turn off to Wildalpen.

Starting at the Hotel Bergkristall in Wildalpen, a road leads between the official houses of the town of Vienna. Then a gravel path (path98)follows above the Salza and a field path comes, numerous benches invites us to take a rest. The path turns into a steep track and there is a good vantage point before it goes downhill again. We continue on an ÖBF forest road (Krimpenbach) and we will reach the Hochschwab Landesstrasse B 24 in Fischerau. When we turn right at the road junction towards Wildalpen, we turn right into the Lärchgraben Weg95) and walk around the Löwekogel.

At the s'Keuscherl holiday flat we rejoin the Hopfgarten circuit and turn right along the meadow path to the Löwekogel junction. At the summit we are rewarded with a wonderful view of Wildalpen.

On the way down, we keep to the right and, before the tennis court at the foot of the Häuslkogel, we will reach the federal road, which we follow back to Wildalpen.

Very varied, easy hike that can be shortened or extended at any time!
