After a break, continue south up the ridge and from there head southwest towards the Großer Buchberg. Before the last upswing it goes downhill again. We reach the summit, behind us a wonderful tour along the ridge with a fantastic panoramic view of the Gesaeuse mountains.
We start the way back west on the rather badly marked but well visible path which leads us south through the Rauchgraben.
We return to our ascent path and take the forest road on the left to the starting point.
With a wonderful view of the Wild Alps and their mountains up to Hochschwab.
