The tour begins in St. Gallen (optionally also in Spital/Pyhrn or Windischgarsten) with a slight incline through the Bergerviertel district and then continues uphill towards Pfarralm. After 4.1 km on the Schoberweg trail, we reach the first small pass at Ennsbaum (760 m), in the middle of the forest. We then ride downhill again on the gravel road to Unterlaussa. Turn left and cycle 500 m along the main road to the village of Dörfl (539 m). The official junction of the Trans National Park (Kalkalpentour – Buchsteinrunde) is at the Weissensteiner inn (overnight accommodation available). From here, follow the blue signs marked Kalkalpentour XL. From here, head right uphill (300 m elevation gain) on asphalt to Mooshöhe (846 m) (rest stop). Follow the road to the official Weißwasser car park. Shortly after the car park (670 m), turn right after 1 km to Hirschkogelsattel (822 m). Once you reach Hirschkogelsattel, turn left and head up to Anlaufalm (982 m) (overnight accommodation). From Anlaufalm, return to the crossroads and then turn right down to the Weißwasser bivouac site and the Waldbahn.
This unique, gently sloping section (15 km – 9 illuminated tunnels) takes you past the Gr. Klaushütte to Reichraming. Follow the Enns river on the R7 Enns cycle path and after 10 km you will arrive at your destination, Grossraming.
Alternative route: via Hirschkogelsattel – Brunnbach – Lumplgraben to Grossraming is shorter !
