Information
The cows moo, the geese honk, the horses snort, and the birds chirp in a competition. This is how we wake up on our farm. The first glance out of the window reveals meadows and woods, as well as the jagged mountain peaks of some Gesäuse mountains.
Our farm "Lackenbauer" is located in the most picturesque area of Austria. Here, you can immerse yourself in authentic rural life, escape from everyday life, and dive into the tranquility and serenity of the unspoiled region around the Gesäuse National Park as well as the Nature and Geopark Styrian Eisenwurzen.
A typical holiday day on our farm begins with a hearty breakfast. You can enjoy coffee, tea, or cocoa, our homemade apple juice from our own trees in our orchard, along with delicious jam made from garden fruits and eggs from the happy chickens on the farm. Of course, ham and cheese, as well as a selection of fruits and vegetables, are also included. After breakfast, you can explore the farm. Perhaps you would like to help with feeding the animals or simply soak up the peaceful atmosphere. There are many opportunities for children to experience farm life - from feeding the animals to playing in the hay, from cuddling with cats to observing rabbits, pigs, goats,...
Our farm is also the perfect starting point for exploring the surrounding landscape. Whether hiking, cycling, or just walking - the options are endless.
A holiday on our farm is more than just a break. It is a return to nature, an experience of appreciating the simple life, and a connection to the Earth. It is a place where you can leave the hustle and bustle of modern life behind and enjoy the simple pleasures of rural living.
