The Stiegenwirt in Palfau
For over 50 years we have been hosting guests in our house.
The snack bar has become a guesthouse with wellness area and inn.
Many of our guests like to come to us again and again and enjoy the family atmosphere.
A good day starts with a good breakfast
After a restful night, a varied breakfast buffet awaits you with delicacies from the Gesäuse and the Mostviertel such as Zeigen cheese, sheep cheese, apple juices and herbal teas. Homemade jams, homemade bread and cakes may not be missing, of course.
So after a restful night you can recharge your batteries for a day in nature!
For early risers: you can have breakfast at Gasthof Stiegenwirt from 5:30 am.
Food and drink keeps body and soul together
Our inn is known for its various Pfand'l dishes. We prefer to cook with ingredients from local producers and with what grows in the forest and on the meadow. That's why, in addition to Flösser Pfand'l and Eisenwurzen Pfand'l, we also serve green forest and meadow dumplings and Waldstauden-Käselaibchen with cheese from Grabenbauer in Mooslandl.
Wellness in the Gesäuse
After so much hiking, biking, paddling, climbing, skiing, horseback riding, ... you will need rest and relaxation. Do something good for your body and sweat in our wellness area in the steam bath, in the classic Finnish sauna or in the infrared cabin. To relax, the spacious, sun-flooded relaxation room with drinking fountain and heat bench awaits you.
