Information
Our alpine inn is located directly in Oppenberg, nestled in the Rottenmanner Tauern, on one side the Paltental and on the other side the Ennstal. New ideas take hold and fill the Alpengasthof with vitality and energy.
In a house like ours, the spirit of the house is especially shaped by the personalities who inhabit it.
In the 7 individually furnished rooms it is possible to live and sleep well. It is simply a pleasure to see the mountains emerge from the drifting autumn mists in the morning. In the evening the stars twinkle so close as if you could touch them.
You can choose between double and single rooms. All rooms are non-smoking. Rooms optionally with bed/breakfast or half board. In addition, a small wellness area with sauna and infrared cabin is available to our guests for an additional charge.
The Alpengasthof serves only Styrian food from the kitchen and cellar. For 14 years now, we have been one of the 130 Styrian "Kulinarium Steiermark" innkeepers and have dedicated ourselves to the slogan "Styria tastes like this".
From the sour soup with Brennsterz, the Styrian root meat, the fresh Ofenbratl from the wood oven, and the homemade Kalbsbeuschl, the trout from Oppenberg, to apple sailing, you will find on our menu so many Styrian delicacies, but also long forgotten Styrian dishes.

OEAV/Alpine Club members receive a discount on the overnight stay when booking directly at the alpine inn. A valid alpine club ID is required for this. Unfortunately, no discount can be granted for bookings via booking portals.
