Gaishorn am See is located in the Palten Valley on the edge of the Gesäuse National Park, surrounded by an impressive mountain setting. Enjoy our family-friendly leisure time offer centred around the lake, such as swimming, fishing, Nordic walking and cycling, or choose our town as a starting point for hikes or more challenging mountain tours on one of the surrounding mountain peaks.

The route from Gaishorn to the Mödlinger cabin is a special challenge for cyclists. 801 metres of altitude and some inclines up to 26% need to be overcome over 8 km! We leave it entirely up to you whether you want to comfortably ring out the evening in one of the alpine cabins or whether you prefer to invite your loved ones to one of our hosts with regional cuisine.
