Every year in August, the mountains around Altaussee shine in an impressive sea of lights when the traditional "Mountains in Flames" is celebrated.
For the Summer Festival, numerous lights are lit that illuminate the shores of the Altausseer See as well as the mountain ridge of Loser and Trisselwand.
The subsequent highlight is the Bengal fire on the Loser and the Trisselwand, which showcases the uniqueness of the Loser crown and the imposing Trisselwand. This dazzling light show in the alpine backdrop offers a fascinating spectacle that attracts numerous visitors to the Ausseerland every year.
