On the formerly agriculturally used property, a vacation home in modern country house style is being built for a relaxing vacation for two. Enjoy the pristine landscape and dive into the natural swimming pond. And all this with a view of the silhouette of the imposing Riegersburg, the landmark of the region.

Arrival from Graz or Vienna: Via the Südautobahn A2 and take the exit Ilz/Fürstenfeld. Through Ilz in the direction of Walkersdorf - turn right to Ottendorf an der Rittschein - continue in the direction of Oed - before the village of Oed turn right to Tiefenberg - follow the signs to Buschenschank Radl - the vacation home Das Maschansker is located 50 meters before the Buschenschank on the left side of the road.

Hello, we are the Peritsch family!
We are your hosts at the holiday residence, the Maschansker. We took over the property in 2006 from a farming family we are friends with. For the first 5 years, we used the two hectares of land in a manner similar to the decades before. This meant that hay and fruit harvests were on the agenda during the summer months. Of course, that was a lot of work, but it was in the beautiful nature. A particular highlight was the annual apple harvest. From the collected apples from the orchard, we pressed our own apple juice.
The green hill with many fruit trees and the cool wooded area has always been a welcome change for us from daily city life near Vienna. However, we always associated this place with a lot of work. In 2011, we decided that we wanted to use the two hectares of land for other purposes as well.
Out of the desire to jump into the cool water after a day of work in the summer, the idea of a swimming pond emerged. The idea quickly became a larger project, which led to the creation of a new small holiday house and a natural pond landscape with regional volcanic rock as its foundation. Gradually, the purpose of the property has shifted from work to enjoyment.
We learned to appreciate the pleasure of the location, the open nature, and country life more and more, and wanted to enable this feeling for guests as well. This gave rise to the idea of transforming the traditional cellar into a modern holiday residence while retaining its original character. The renovation and refurbishing work will be completed in the summer.
As a family, we are very much looking forward to welcoming guests and being able to share the pleasure of the region, the country experience, and the Maschansker experience with you.
