Willow Sculpturing

Bad Blumau

The willow building stands in the spa park of the Bad Blumau thermal community. One large and many small domes were made from willows. Again and again the new willows are woven in or cut.

The willow sculpturing project is unique in the area. A large inner cupola (22 m in diameter, 8 m in height) is surrounded by a number of smaller ones on the outside. The project was carried out by a group of young people and supported by Marcel Kalberer, the internationally acclaimed architect for willow sculpturing. Relax in the shade of the cupolas and feel the harmony of a gigantic piece of art with nature.

The thermal spa park in the spa town of Bad Blumau can be reached via wooden bridges from the town center.
