So the "b`soffene Turk" is actually a "b`soffener Croat".

In front of the entrance to the town hall is a sculpture by Prof. Hans Mauracher, which evokes an event during the war between the Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus and Emperor Friedrich III. remind.
When Hungarian troops marched against Fürstenfeld in 1480, the Emperor sent Croats to help. On the way from Graz to Fürstenfeld, however, they visited the wine cellars and got drunk. Most of them were killed by the Hungarians.
