Morgenwanderung zur Wintersonnenwende
On the last Sunday before Christmas, we celebrate the return of the light together.
When the sun reaches its lowest point, we celebrate the quiet turning point of the year. The winter solstice invites us to pause, shed burdens, and create space for new beginnings. As a prelude to the great festival and the new year, we walk together towards the first light of day. Departure At 6 a.m., we meet by the campfire. Hot tea warms us, and the candlelight in the lanterns pierces the darkness. Warmly dressed (thick gloves and a hooded jacket), we set out on our way. Step by step, we enter the stillness of the early morning. We are attentive and fully present with ourselves. Our breathing becomes steadier, and our thoughts clearer. Our lanterns remind us of the inner light that we are especially allowed to cultivate during this dark season. Arrival We will determine the exact route based on the weather shortly before we set out. After about an hour of walking, we reach our spot in nature. There, we greet the sun with a guided meditation – a moment of gratitude and new beginnings. With the first light of day, we turn towards hope and the coming year. Back at the Sonnenhaus, a regional breakfast with fresh organic pastries awaits all participants.
