At the southern end of the Schilcher Wine Road – where picturesque vineyards are replaced by large fruit orchards at the foothills of the Koralpe – our family has been cultivating land since the 17th century. In a visionary manner, our grandfather switched from arable farming and livestock to fruit growing, often receiving a dismissive smile from the neighbors for it. However, success proved him right. The quality of the raw materials from our originally purely fresh fruit producing business was and is the foundation for the premium quality of our wines. Every vineyard has its aura – and only a careful winemaker can breathe life into the vines and press creations that touch the soul.
