The traditional Christmas concert of the Big Band Köflach is coming back to the Steinhalle Lannach in December.
This is not just about classic big band music, but rather about Christmas songs presented in a unique and distinctive way, with modern and new arrangements. In addition to the big band sound, the vocals of the 3 female singers and the bandleader also take center stage.
The program consists of swinging American Christmas songs, harmonious Christmas music from our Alpine cultural circle, as well as music by Udo Jürgens, George Michael, and Slavko Avseni – to name just a few. This interesting mix and the original arrangements bring new facets to the program, which changes every year.
The musical proceedings are lightened up by the commentary of the saxophonist Walter Zapfl, who humorously guides the program and provides laughter here and there.
