kulturfrische
Kulturfrische is a cultural initiative in the mountain village of Trahütten.
Inspired by the former summer resort Trahütten the artist couple itshe+io founded the Kulturfrische.
The Kulturfrische connects current tendencies in the art and culture scene with traditional cultural needs of the alp.

Cultural projects by itshe+io have existed for over 20 years.
Started in Hamburg in 2005, via Berlin, Bulgaria to Vienna and since 2021 in Trahütten.

Why Trahütten?
Artists in the Almdorf Trahütten, that has a long tradition:
Alban Berg wrote his operas here, writer Hans Lebert his novels, Alma Mahler-Werfel enchanted the village priest with her performative presence,
Franz Nahowski painted great works here and it can only be guessed who else strolled through the mountain village.
