In order to emphasize the special characteristics of the Schilcher, the winegrowers of Wernersdorf have joined together to form the EmmausWinemakers. As a joint product, the winegrowers press the EmmausWein® as a special quality wine.

The Emmaus wine represents a special rarity: The grapes of the marked Emmaus lines are harvested by all Emmaus vintners at the same time and brought to a Emmaus vintner. Of course, this part of the wine production is celebrated with a "Pressfest" during the campaign week "Es gärt im SchilcherDORF", always in mid-October.

On Easter Monday, the Emmaus wine is blessed at the so-called Emmausausgang in the Emmaus Chapel in Wernersdorf and then offered to guests for tasting or sale.
