An adventure trail for the whole family.
Marvel, play, puzzle, and discover the forest.

This 1 km long themed trail has 7 stations for balancing, spinning, matching, and solving puzzles. Discover in a playful way what sustainability means, how the forest protects our climate, which animals live here, and what wood is used for. Enjoy the fresh forest air, great views, and exciting experiences for young and old alike.
The puzzle folder provides an additional incentive, inviting visitors to take part in a little treasure hunt: anyone who answers all seven questions correctly along the way can pick up a key ring as a reward at the mountain hut Masenberg.

Pöllauberg

By car from Vienna

If you are driving from Vienna to Pöllau near Hartberg, take the A2 towards Graz and drive about 110 kilometers until you reach the Hartberg exit. From there, follow the B54 in the direction of Pöllau/Pöllauberg.

By car from Graz

To get from Graz to Pöllau bei Hartberg, take the A2 in the direction of Vienna. After about 30 kilometers, take the Gleisdorf West exit and then take the B54 towards Hartberg/Pöllau. Follow the B54 for about 25 kilometers until you reach Pöllau/Pöllauberg.

By car from Salzburg

To get to Pöllau bei Hartberg from Salzburg, take the A1 towards Vienna. Drive about 110 kilometers to exit 109 (Salzburg junction). There change to the A9 towards Graz. At St. Michael, follow the S6 towards Kapfenberg. Continue on the S6 until the Krieglach exit. From there, take the B72 and then the L405 to Pöllau/Pöllauberg.

The Masen.Berg. themed trail – your forest adventure begins below the Masenberg refuge car park. We walk towards Olmstoll Masenberg and from there back to the Glückskapelle chapel and the Masenberg refuge.
