A leisurely hike along forest roads leads to the idyllic Spechtensee lake.

From the war memorial in the village center, follow the markings uphill, first on a road with little traffic and then along the forest path to the Spechtensee lake. You return along the same route.

Coming from Schladming or Liezen, turn off the B320 in Wörschach and drive into the town center.

From the war memorial in the village center, follow the markings steadily uphill, first on a little-used road and then along the forest path to Spechtensee. You return along the same route.

Enjoy the tranquillity of the lake and treat yourself to a stop at the Spechtenseehütte.

Take the 940 bus to the “Wörschach Ort” stop. The starting point of the hike is also nearby.
