From the starting point the forest road leads up to the Vordere and further to the Hintere Mörsbachalm. The way back leads over the "cool" Oxenalm and from there back to the centre of the village.

Starting from the centre of Donnersbachwald, this route leads up to the Vordere Mörsbachalm with a stop for refreshments and e-bike recharging possibility. From there, the route continues at a leisurely pace to the Hintere Mörsbachalm, where another Bike & Hike station invites you to go hiking. The way back is via the Oxenalm and then back downhill to the starting point.

Please note: This route is not suitable for bicycles with child trailers. From the highest point, you will encounter a coarse gravel and technically demanding descent, recommended only for experienced bikers.

Riding on these trails is only permitted during the following times:

May 15 to August 31 from 08:00 to 18:00
September 1 to September 30 from 08:00 to 17:00

Coming from Schladming: Follow the B320 to Trautenfels. Turn right towards Irdning. Follow the road to Irdning, take the second exit at the roundabout and turn right at the big crossing. Follow the road in the direction of Donnersbach. Cross the village and drive along Glattjoch-Straße until you reach Donnersbachwald.

Coming from Liezen: Follow the B320 to Trautenfels. Turn left in the direction of Irdning. Follow the road to Irdning, take the second exit at the roundabout and turn right at the large intersection. Follow the road towards Donnersbach. Cross the village and drive along Glattjoch-Straße until you reach Donnersbachwald.

Along this circuit there are 3 Bike & Hike stations. Two of them, Oxenalm and Mörsbachwirt offer e-charging for your bike.

Parking spaces are available directly at the starting point in the village centre and at the foot of the Riesneralm, about 500 metres from the starting point.

In order to protect the game (resting periods), driving on the trails is only allowed during the following times:

May 15 to August 31 from 08.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m.
September 1 to September 30 from 08.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m.
