Nativity scene exhibition Stein an der Enns

Naturpark Sölktäler

Nativity scene traditions in Austria are part of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage!

This unique nativity scene exhibition room is a significant treasure trove in the Sölktäler Nature Park in the Schladming-Dachstein region!

Here you can see over 80 nativity scenes, as well as a large movable nativity scene and valuable, exquisite monastery and carving works. The display cases contain an extensive range of nativity scene accessories and figures to admire and purchase. You can treat yourself to a relaxing break with coffee and drinks in the pleasant atmosphere of the lounge.

Further information: In addition to the year-round exhibition, there are fixed opening days on the first and second weekends of Advent (November 29 & 30 and December 6–8, 2025), when the works of art created by course participants and members during the same year are presented. During this time, our workshop is also transformed into an atmospheric special exhibition, where around 30 additional nativity scenes, holy figures, and the popular Glückshafen (harbor of happiness) can be discovered.

“The perfect start to an original celebration or a special outing” – whether it's a birthday, anniversary, company party, or Christmas event – give your celebrations or outings a special touch all year round. Simply visit our lovingly designed nativity scene exhibition in advance! (by appointment only) Immerse yourself in the world of handmade works of art, soak up the contemplative atmosphere, and let yourself be inspired. The nativity scene exhibition can also be visited all year round in conjunction with a tour of the workshop. Advance registration with at least 6 adults is required. The exhibition rooms are located on the 1st floor and are accessible via a staircase.
