Filming Location - Bachlalm

Ramsau am Dachstein

The Bachlalm is known for its tame marmots.

Bachlalm is situated at an altitude of 1.490 m in the Dachstein area. It is a popular filming location of the TV series "Die Bergretter" and it played a special part in the series's 7th season as "Schnittlauchmoos" (chive moss).

Unfortunately, the mountain hut is currently not open, but can be reached by shuttle bus or on foot. It is also known for its tame marmots (in the Ramsauer dialect Manggei or Mankei). From there you can start various hikes in the Dachstein area, for example to the Dachstein-Südwandhütte, Hofpürglhütte or Adamekhütte. The Bachlalm offers a wonderful panorama of the Torstein and the southern walls of the Dachstein.
