1969 started a commercial apprenticeship and worked in this profession until 2005

2005 began training as a national park ranger in the Gesäuse National Park/ Styria

For 11 years now, I've been working as a freelance national park ranger and nature guideSeptember 2016 started an art study at the Leonardo Art Academy in Mattsee/SalzburgMy first experience with painting was in 1987 with Wolfgang Baxrainer in Hallein. In his courses, he familiarized us with the technique of watercolor, and thus I was already infected with the watercolor virus. In the following years, I intensified my beautiful hobby alongside my professional activities and, of course, also tried other techniques such as acrylic, oil, and various mixed techniques in the creative process. Largely self-taught, my first exhibitions soon followed. I try to capture the beauty of our homeland in my paintings by observing very closely during my hikes to later bring what I have seen onto paper. And I do think that my connection to nature is reflected in my pictures.
