Simone Kopmajer & Band – "HOPE"
A resonant legacy lives on!
Yodeling is more than just a musical expression. It is a piece of identity, a commitment to the landscape, and a language that connects people without words. This is exactly where the LEADER project "Sound of Alm" comes in, passionately implemented in the Ennstal and Ausseerland.
Since August 2025, various yodeling groups and musicians have been collaborating to preserve this unique tradition for future generations. Participating are the
- Hollerschnapszuzler,
- the Ennstaler Four-Part Choir,
- the K & K Four-Part Choir,
- the 234Xang,
- the Fensageiger
- and the Wetterloch Brass Players.
On alpine pastures, mountain meadows, and lakes in our region of Ennstal and Ausseerland, sounds that have been passed down for generations are captured. This results not only in audio recordings but also in a comprehensive music book that inspires visitors to pick up their voices and keep the old melodies alive.
Especially impressive: Alongside the songs, sounds of nature also find their place in the recordings. The rushing of streams, the ringing of cowbells, and the voices of nature intertwine with the yodelers, making the "Sound of Alm" an authentic experience.
