With their new album ‘Im Tanzsalon’ (In the Dance Hall), the Paganin String Quartet embarks on a journey into the early swing and pop world of Europe, unearthing long-forgotten gems of German-language jazz music from the early 20th century. The wild Berlin of the interwar period and Austrian operettas serve as inspiration here to breathe new life into this still unique repertoire and bring it into the present day. In a typical acoustic hot club line-up à la Django Reinhardt, the most beautiful Schlager melodies shine in a new guise.
