Wörschach

The easternmost community in Schladming-Dachstein is well known to many hiking fans, not least because of the untamed, romantic Wörschachklamm.

About the region

What guests can look forward to

This community is perhaps most associated with the Wörschachklamm, which, with its magnificent waterfalls and rock formations, is one of the most awe-inspiring gorges in all of Austria. After a fascinating hike up via boardwalks and stairs, pausing to gaze out from the viewing platforms, at the exit from the gorge you are greeted by a wide range of choices for extending your hike.

You should definitely pay a visit to the ruins of Castle Wolkenstein, only requiring a short, easy climb. These old, historic walls attest to the long history of this place, likewise inviting you to pause and take in the scenery. Numerous cyclists en route via the Enns Bike Path enjoy the local hospitality here year after year since this popular riverside bike path runs right through the center of town.

In winter, Wörschach is a popular hub for the surrounding ski resorts, though the countryside loses none of its charm, also inviting you to set out on winter hikes or simply relax and restore those depleted energy reserves.
