The Hungry Heart started in 2016 as a small street food box in the Lendviertel district. Behind the concept is Philipp Carstanjen, who with great effort transformed a one-man show into a permanent location on Mariahilferstraße. It quickly became clear that the idea was a hit: freshly prepared street food with a few but well-thought-out dishes.
Today, a compact menu defines the image of Hungry Heart. The offerings include burgers such as the Black Angus & Cheese Burger, the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger with coleslaw and mayo, the Chicken Caesar Burger with chicken breast and parmesan, and the Roasted Carrot Burger with homemade carrot patty. The menu is rounded off with fries in various versions – classic, with cheese, garlic, or as a pulled pork version.
The location near Lendplatz connects the establishment with a district long-known for its diversity. This keeps Hungry Heart true to its original idea: street food in the heart of Graz, reduced to the essentials.
