Directly at Hilmteich stands the Hilmteichschlössl, a building from the 19th century that has long been part of Graz's excursion tradition. Nestled between water and old trees, it has taken on various roles over the years while preserving its unique charm. Today, it is home to the Purberg – a restaurant that welcomes its guests with a view of the pond.
The cuisine combines Styrian and Mediterranean influences. In addition to changing daily specials, breakfast is also offered, served on weekends until the afternoon. There is coffee from the Graz roastery Tribeka, homemade pastries, a wide selection of drinks, and in summer, an ice pavilion directly by the water.
The location makes the Purberg a place that connects city and nature. From the guest garden, the view extends over the pond to the edge of the forest, while the gentle rustling of the trees and the reflections in the water create a special atmosphere. Many guests combine their visit with a walk around the Hilmteich or a detour into the Leechwald.
