When people in Graz talk about the Poga, they mean the Postgarage on Dreihackengasse. Since 2003, the club has established itself as a fixed entity and is now much more than just a place to go out. Once a riding school, then a post bus depot, today a cult location: The historic building in the Griesviertel still carries its industrial past within its walls, while inside, nights are celebrated that are unforgettable.
The large main floor, with around 440 square meters, and the smaller second floor, with 150 square meters, serve as the stage for legendary parties. The offer is supplemented by the café, which features a small stage for intimate concerts, readings, or collective events. Once a month, a Swing Night attracts guests, providing a change of pace. Outside, the club also makes a statement; the colorful graffiti on the walls is just as much part of the picture as the openness with which everyone is welcomed here.
The focus is on electronic music, from techno and house to drum and bass. International DJs like Roman Flügel have stood at the decks here, along with numerous local acts. Additionally, there are live concerts from genres like indie, pop, or swing. Event series such as “Best of the 80’s,” “Worst of the 90’s,” or “The FAGtory Club” shape the program. The Postgarage is also repeatedly the venue for FM4 concerts and a partner in festivals such as the Springfestival or Griesgram.
