The Lindenwirt is a place with history. As early as 1896, the house was mentioned as a destination inn - founded by Markus Grabitzer, the great-grandfather of today's owner, Carmen Poglitz-Raffler. Today, this tradition is continued with a clear focus on hearty, traditional cuisine. Located on Peter-Rosegger-Straße, slightly outside the center, guests can expect a quiet inn with a well-tended garden under old linden trees.
The menu ranges from soups to Styrian fried chicken and Carinthian cheese noodles, as well as fried liver or palatschinken. Seasonal specialties like dishes made with chanterelles complement the offerings. Those with a sweet tooth will find a selection of homemade desserts, such as chocolate tart, various strudels, and the special Lindenwirt cake. The perfect wine comes from Austria and is recommended with care and experience.
The Lindenwirt also provides the right setting for events and celebrations, with space for up to 120 people and individually tailored menus. For those who do not wish to head home afterward, overnight accommodations are available right in the house.
