Konditorei im Gasthaus Haiden
Söding-St. Johann
Homemade cakes, ice cream, and more: the finest pastry art in a cozy atmosphere.
The pastry shop at the Gasthaus Haiden in Wundschuh is a culinary highlight that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern elegance. Since 1968, the Gasthaus Haiden has been family-owned and is now run by Bernadette and Erwin Haiden. After extensive renovations, the establishment presents a newly designed dining room and a modern outdoor kitchen, which is particularly used during summer BBQ evenings. The kitchen is open from Wednesday to Sunday, and the in-house bowling alley makes the gasthaus a popular meeting point for gourmets and families.
Erwin Haiden, a trained master pastry chef with international experience, creates artistic cakes in the in-house pastry shop for weddings, baptisms, and birthdays. The diverse cake assortment includes creations such as chocolate-cherry, mango-yogurt, poppy-apricot, and passion fruit-yogurt. During the ice cream season from March to October, homemade ice cream specialties are offered, including flavors like pumpkin seed oil, apple-cinnamon, and white chocolate.
The quality of the pastry shop has also been honored with the award as a Kulinarium Steiermark establishment. Whether for a cozy breakfast, a festive lunch, or a sweet temptation in the afternoon – the pastry shop at Gasthaus Haiden offers a perfect culinary experience in the heart of Wundschuh.
