Hillebrand Farm for Pleasure
Premstätten
Sour enjoyment from Premstätten. Potatoes, sauerkraut, pumpkin, the famous Graz butterhead lettuce, and much more are cultivated and produced here.
The GenussBauernhof Hillebrand in Premstätten is a fixed point of reference for many when it comes to cabbage, vegetables, and regional specialties. The farm is especially known for its Premstättner cabbage, which is processed into sauerkraut and is one of the classic products of the farm. While sauerkraut is particularly popular in the cooler months, the Grazer Krauthäuptel plays an important role from March to October. In addition, Styrian pumpkin seed oil is produced, which is bottled in its natural state.
In the GenussLaden, the entire range is available directly from the field and greenhouses. Alongside potatoes, cabbage, and corn, also oil pumpkin, salads, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants, and chili peppers are offered. The selection is based on the season and shows what is currently growing on the farm. Additionally, products from other regional producers are offered to expand the selection.
In the attached GenussCafé of the GenussBauernhof Hillebrand, a variety is served that ranges from the Genuss breakfast to small treats. The menu includes filled rolls, pastries, cakes, tarts, and strudel – complemented by regional juices, beers, and wines.
Those interested in processing and preparation can gain insights into dealing with regional products in their own GenussKochSchule. This connects the GenussBauernhof Hillebrand with agriculture, processing, and culinary arts in a way that is firmly rooted in the region.
